Trunk Floor Compartment Ventilation
Ok, so I have seen various installs with amps in the storage compartment under the trunk floor, but I have not seen any solutions to prevent excessive heat build-up in this relatively small space. I was thinking of putting a couple of JL HD amps down there, but I can see how heat could become a problem in the tiny air space (especially in the 335i). Any suggestions on how one could integrate some fans in order to circulate air through this space?

I have a JL 500/1 on the left side of the compartment and it gets really hot. Like after an hour of playing I can't touch it. You can drill small holes otherwise, there's no real solution. The opposite side of the compartment is under the car and if you expose that your amps will be f'ed. I think our best bet is drill holes and put get a screen from home depot and spray paint it black or gray...your choice. I might actually do the same because the JL I have get way too hot and extended periods like that can't be good.
