check out the "ultimate ordering guide" it's a sticky.
it's a tough call, depends how fast you get on a ship. Once you have that info, the car can sit at the prep center anywhere from a couple of days up to a couple of weeks. good luck

thanks. yeah i did read the u. tracking guide, but i wanted to see if anyone had anything else to say. if my car takes one and a half months to get here after completion, that blows. i mean it isn't 1800s land, where steam-powered ships are new to the scene.

Your longest wait ahead of you may be at the port in Bremerhaven. My 328i was ordered on the 16th of Nov, started production on the 17th, and arrived at the port on the 25th. I boarded a ship on Dec 4th and departed port on Dec 5th. Careful on that 1800s statement! I'm on a ship now covering a whopping 52 nautical miles in 6 hours at about 8.8 knots! They don't call 'em slow boats for nothin'!
It actually takes about 10-14 days to make the trip across the pond to the port of NYC. I wish you a short wait!

its a rough wait I know. My car finished production and went to the port of exit to await transport on the 16th of november. I'm not certain but I think its currently on board the HUAL AFRICA, which is scheduled to dock in Port Hueme on the 16th of Dec. Figuring a week or so after that for me to take delivery, it will have been about a month and a half between the time it was finished and the time I took delivery. Not to mention I placed my order in Sept!!! (the 30th of, but still). Haha, in anycase...I feel you. The wait is killing me too!!!
