e93 2008 audio wiring
hi i've got a 2008 bmw 3 sereis convertible ans i want to upgrade the audio system. i am going to keep the bmw headunit and use a bitone. what i want to find out is if anyone nknows where i can get hold of a wiring diagram of the amplifier which will show me which wires are which on the plug of the amp. i would like to find out :
1. which wires go to which speakers 2. which is the remote amp turn on wire 3. where can i take a constant ignition source from 4. are the speakers under the seats subwoofers or mid bass speakers 5. if speakers under the seats are mid bass speakers where can i take the output signal for subwoofers? if there is anything anyone else thinks i need to know please tell me. cheers |

1) Search "Ultimate Subwoofer guide"
2) If your using a bitone I'm guessing you have L7. The REM lead is pin 13 on the back of the OEM HU. L7 does NOT have a REM lead at the amp. Basic and HiFi do and I beleive it is pin 10. 3) What's an ignition source? Power? 12V? Take it directly from the battery. Ground directly to the battery as well. 4) They act as both. They are low passed around 150Hz. 5) You take the signal for subs from the underseat woofers. Your best bet with L7 is to recode your HU to HiFi so you have an analog output and you won't need a bitone. L7 has an optical output. |
