BMW Ultimate Driving Event

I got an invitation to go to this on 6/19/10 at Wagner BMW in Shrewsbury. I really want to go but I am going to the American Craft Beer Fest in Boston that day.

I wish it was a different day.. Is anyone else going or have gone to one of these before?

I've gone to a couple of these before, they're good fun. Can't beat a day of driving around random BMWs, in my opinion.

Yeah that comparison is what I was thinking by the brief description. I am really bummed that I cant go now. My parents have owned BMW's since 2005 and I have never seen one of these invitations before.

Peabody has their event on 6/21

I don't think the invitation is from the dealer. When I called in (about 30 seconds after I got mine), they wanted to send me to the dealer closest to where I live. I don't do business with them, so I specified Wagner (which has always been GREAT to deal with), and then they scheduled me. OBTW, I'm doing the 535i/5GT comparo.

I'll be going to this one too. Whether it's the dealer or NA who sends the invites, not everyone gets them. I don't know how they decide, but it seems random sometimes.

I called and am doing the Herb Chambers event on 6/25.. The comparos were booked so I am doing the 5 series 60min test drive.. They basically said I could try any car.. So I wanted to try the newest. It was between that or a Z4, 5GT or 6 series...

Coincidentally, my Dad and I are both going to Peabody's. He's doing the 535/E350 comparo and I signed up for the 60-minute 335d drive. Should be a pretty fun afternoon.

Just signed up for the Peabody event. I did the 535/E350 comparo since I wanted to see what the 5 series is like. I apparently took the last time slot at 5:15pm.

jopa, maybe I'll see you there

edit: sucks that the Peabody event is on a Monday though.

Yeah, the day/time is tough. Mine is at 11:30AM and Dad's is at 1:00PM - complete coincidence that we both signed up for those times, but I'm hoping to go with on the E350/535 comparo since I'd like to check out F10. Not sure if I'll still be there at 5 though.
