Hey guys

Just superchipped my 2004 E53 X5 and 2006 E60 530d. The installation was very simple with the bluefin unit. All u needed to do was to plug in the Bluefin unit to ur OBDII port and download map off ur ECU. The downloaded map is stored in the Bluefin which will later is uploaded to the Superchip server at UK once u connect ur bluefin to internet via the bluefin software.

Due to the time difference in Australia and UK, it is best to do the installation during dinner time which is morning in UK. Within an hour after uploading the map, i got a email saying map ready for dl. Then i downloaded the map on to bluefin and uploaded to the car.

On the 530d, the results were very impressive. The car picked up quicker and keep on going till redline where it used to die down a bit at high revs. I think it has more power than my 2009 330d. The 330d is suppose to have 180kw and 520nm. A superchipped 530d is suppose to have just bit more than 180kw but torque should be now much over 600nm.

The x5 was very good too. I used to have DPChip on it but found that it smoked a bit too much under hard acceleration and the acceleration was not very linear. DPChip kick in and out during acceleration so sometimes it lags a bit before pulling off. Superchip was much better and gave more linear acceleration and got rid of the turbo lag between 1500-2000rpm. Since i have done mod to exhaust and intake, I ended up paying extra for a stage 2 map for the x5 this week just to try it out. OMG... it was quicker again. But it comes at a cost coz the smoke is back like DPChip so i might run on standard remap for day to day driving and only use stage II map for fun occasionally.

Waiting for superchip to crack the new ECU code for the 2009 onward vehicle. I will superchip my 2009 330d too when it becomes available. I think the output should be somewhere around 215kw and 600+ torque. But apparently, no one can crack the encription yet for the new BOSH ECU so might be awhile before we can mod the car going though OBDII.

Overall, very happy with results and service with Superchip.
