E92 seatbelt assist

My drivers side seat belt arm has started slipping the belt off before it reaches full extension. I think it must be a bit out of alignment

It's driving me apesh*t. Anyone else had this problem? Looks like I'll have to book in for warranty repair.

This happened to me when something was behind the drivers seat (bag in the foot well, jacket etc) i.e., catching the belt on its way to full extension and then falling off. Was a simple fix for me...

Yeah i had this problem, but make sure nothing is blocking the belt way from the floor area like docbeemer says.

Mine was faulty though so dealer replaced the seatbelt extender then called and said that the belt was still slipping off and a new seat belt was needed. Since the new belt was put in i've had no problems except mismatched looking belts (passenger side is dirty and the drivers is so clean

)

It happens to me, but only for the passenger side. There's nothing blocking the belt (no bags etc) but it only seems to catch the belt one time in five. Drivers side is fine, catches it every time.

Not a big enough issue for me to raise with the dealership thus far, although probably worth a mention at the next service.

Has anyone tried disconnecting the arm? I've wondered a few times if I really need it, especailly since the passenger side has been less reliable.

It's driving me agro, since I'm not very flexible. It's now grabbing occasionally rather than constantly.

I will have to take it in and get it replaced as the warranty runs out very soon.

...Maybe i should take a video camera to record the horrified faces of the bmw service techs when they see a heavily modded 335i with meth roll in?
