Talking Carbon Fiber Wraped Interior!! With PICS

I went ahead and got in my Carbon Fiber wrap and got it professionally installed. I could have done it myself but figured I would let the pros do it. I am very happy with the results, everything turned out perfect!!

Everything has been reinstalled except for the shifter plate and boot. I'm planning on possibly wrapping that piece as well with either silver, graphite, or brown CF wrap (I havn't decided yet which one).

I also have my BMW Performance Steering Wheel (full Alcantara) installed!! Right now the paddles are just steering wheel ornaments as I havn't been able to install them properly yet (I have an 06 330i that didn't come standard with paddles).

Anyway, let me know what you think!

Here's my choices for the shifter plate. I am leaning toward the Brown CF as it looks pretty good with the Terra seats. Let me know if you have any input on which one I should go with! I might also keep it the way it is as it actually looks pretty good black....

Why don't you get rid of the shifter plate all together and get a 6mt boot?

It looks very very clean.

About $80 install, which actually is pretty good considering that is a one hour rate and it definitely took them longer than that to do it.

The wrap itself was around $120 but I got some extra so I could mess with putting it on some other areas.

So right at $200. I also went with 3M Di-noc for the wrap which is pretty pricy, you can definitely find cheaper CF out there. It's also much cheaper and obviously better fitting than if I went after market and got some AM CF trim pieces.

Not a bad idea, but I actually like it... just a personal preference.

You can't necessarily tell from the pics but the Brown CF actually looks VERY good with my Terra seats! However, I didn't want to do the trim pieces in them as I wouldn't be able to sell them to anyone and return the car back to stock when I sell it down the road since it would be for a very select group of people, unlike the Black CF!

I think I'm going to keep the shifter plate black like it is now however as it looks just fine as it is and looks quite a bit better than I thought it would.

And thanks for the compliment on the steering wheel! It's by far my favorite mod yet!!

Brown CF

Looks great!!! I have tan seats and the high gloss bearl wood and hate it. I didn't even know brown CF was an option. Now I'm going to do it. Thanks for the great pix and Idea. You're the man!

I got the sample piece from IDSfinishes.com and the roll of black cf wrap from carbonfibergear.com where you can also get a roll of brown cf.
