Question about 335i exhaust operation
This morning I noticed when I started cold engine of my car, the exhaust on the left hand side worked while on the right hand side was COMPLETELY turned off. When the automatic choke cut-off, the left hand exhaust started working. Is this normal operation or something weird is going on? Car runs and works perfectly....any ideas?

Anyone knows why? I also thought that it was normal but curious why...

It helps with reducing noise volume at idle and low throttle. The part I don't really understand is there is also a vacuum tube involved too somehow. Maybe someone who understands it better can explain it. |
