How much discount can you get on a CPO?
Usually how much discount do people get after haggling over the internet advertised price on a e9x CPO? I am buying a 2008 e93 cpo for $1000 below internet price. Is this a good deal?

??? You need to know the car's wholesale (auction) value and work up from there. That's the only way to determine if you're getting a "good deal".

$43,000 for a 3-year-old vert? Don't do it!
If you really have your heart set on a vert, the Galves trade-in (wholesale) value of a 2008 E93 335i with Steptronic, Leather Trim (Premium Package), and 20k miles is: $34,550 + $1,500 (estimate) to recondition the vehicle. + $2,000 (estimate) for the 6yr/100k mile BMW CPO warranty. + dealer overhead. + dealer profit. = $ ________ IMO, $41,000 or less would be a fair price for that car right now (with the 2011’s out already). By the way, the other listed options add $0 to the wholesale value.

Thanks TJDiCandido! you saved me a lot of money! I love this forum!
So, is it wise to buy a new car with a good deal (for eg. 2010 with $4000 below invoice) than buying a CPO? since most BMW dealers dont bend too much under haggling pressure on the price advertised. |
