Sneak peak: New 335i Intake! :)
Hey Guys,
Just had my intake completed by Jon at 666 Fabrication, and I love it! It sounds awesome and pulls great up top. Main pipe is 3.5 inch. He used a Vibrant filter which may get changed but here it is: He should be offering them soon to the public.

Not exactly the best looking intake... But if it does the job, who cares, right?

Mmmmm its okay but the market is already saturated with intakes and this one is nothing special...He should work on one for the N55 instead of the N54 IMO since there isn't even one available....This intake will not have to many interest IMO

Interesting, however I personally don't care for it much, unless there is more to it than I can see. Why put both turbos onto one pipe just to suck hot air anyway? A traditional DCI is better. People forget that turbos spool at slightly different speeds and there are miniature pulses and fighting for air through one pipe is pointless unless you're sourcing some cold air. This is just my 2 cents.

Also, the "at least 15%" statistic you pulled out of your ass is funny. How about you present data to support that Last edited by jpsimon; 06-14-2010 at 10:33 AM.. |

You guys in CT - what cities are you in? I'm headed that way in July, would enjoy saying hello and checking out the intake in person as well. I've had an AFE DCI on mine for a couple years now, really like it and it definitely makes a diff over the stock intake. Plenty of heat here in Central TX in the summer, no ill effects that I've found thus far.
Wonder if there's a way to add a heat shield like some of the other intakes have? Also, a powdercoat job would give it a really finished look. Nice welding, by the way!
