RR vs AR DP's

Which down pipe is best....install, fitment, most gains? RR web site doesn't work worth a damn and the AR site shows a dyno graph of after install so no baseline to compare to. Would either be ok to buy second hand or should I only consider them new?
Thanks

The reason I asked about Riss is there are some floating around the used market and they are cheaper than the AR.

Fit, quality aside which ar design has in the bag the ar design pipes are 3" while the RR pipes are only 2.5". That alone is why the ar pipes are the way to go.

Mike
riss had a 3" design dp, but fitment wasnt spot on, and they dont hold up nearly as well as AR.

plus AR has a higher resale value!!

Agreed. Everything I have read seems to suggest AR are the best downpipes... although, I have no first hand knowledge as I have not bought or installed DP's yet. But, I plan on getting AR's when I am ready to buy!

Might as well add Macht Schnell to the list. We've installed these downpipes with ease and they also come at a great price... Here's a picture of them:

How are the welds?

I had a Raceland header on my Miata and it didn't fare too well after a few months.

I'm pretty happy with the AR design downpipes i've got ... they seem to perform well for me.

My installer, SonicMotorsports (mountain view, CA), is vendor agnostic and will install what you want. They commented on how nice the fitment was when comparing to other vendors, which always had to be "massaged" into place.

I could care less about the welds to be honest the car is a lease anyways And the downpipes have held up 4 months worth of fluxuating weather, 2 months in 90 degree florida weather 1 month of 20 degree chicago weather and 1 month of 80 degree chicago weather.
