Window Tints (50% front/20% back) - pics needed.

As the title says really...

Getting my black e90 tinted on Thursday - I know about the laws and have read lots of reviews etc, spoken to lots of people as well, so I think my mind is made up. Chosen tint company and this combo has been suggested, in sounds good but I can't find any good pics of an e90 with this tint combo.

Pics of dark coloured E90 with 50% front windows, 20% side and back windows required please - help me decide (48hrs to go) ???

Thanks for advice, getting Cappucino Tints (mobile company from Leeds) to come to Donny to do mine.

Yours looks pretty dark from that angle, I guess it's a 30% tint (70 is almost clear, pretty much what the standard glass is from the factory).

Was thinking maybe just subtle 35% on back, but he suggested 20% on back and very light 50% on front... still unsure !!!

This is the lightest avail tint they had for the front, and one up from limo at the back (83 or so at the back) [83% light blocked. So dependng on how you look at it: Either 83 or 17 ]

Thanks MEGA - that looks really nice.
So yours is approx 20% rear, do you know what front tint is 70/50% ???

Do you ever find the rear too dark - just worried about it being too dark through the winter ?

Mega normally has his rear passengers handcuffed, blindfolded and gagged, so I don't think that's an issue for him.

Looks great Ian. Wish i'd known you were there, I'm only round the corner you could have come and had a brew. I have some air bubbles in mine, so it needs to go back to be redone; wierd because pentagon are usually spot on and have done 10+ cars for us with no problems.

I gotta say Paul, I had my reservations when I saw the tints reveal themselves.
I was expecting it to be a bit lighter then that, but if I get a tug, so be it!
The match is very good and for the money, a peel off if ordered by the boys in blue won't hurt too much.

Thanks for the advice

I've read your other thread and am sorry about what happened.

As soon as I saw that you went away with bubbles I knew something was wrong. I have very limited experience with applying vinyl but I know that there shouldn't be bubbles when you finish applying that. I'd imagine it's a similar principle with tinted film?

Just a heads up I guess if anyone goes to get it done.

I wouldn't personally these days. Never been keen on rear tints without front tints tbh. Makes it look a bit van like. Obviously fronts are illegal, so I wouldn't bother.

I heard of back dated certificates being issued but that cannot be done for anyone with an E9x model.
