G-Timer Action. Who wants a turn?
I'm pretty excited. My G-timer comes tomorrow. Can't wait to try it out. Thought I'd let everyone know how excited I am.
Here's the one I bought (GT1): http://www.escortradar.com/gtimer.htm Only $44.40 on Amazon.com: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...&s=electronics |

That test shows that a car did the 1/4 mile in 7.04 seconds @ 169.3MPH. Other than the Bugatti Veyron, what car can achieve that kind of performance? |

It was a measly 50 bucks. I don't want to spend $200 on a G-timer to begin with. I'm only going to have a tiny bit of fun with it. I don't track my car or anything.

I Need one of these things. Seems interesting they can acquire rpms, hp, shift data, etc.. from the cigarette lighter. How does acquiring data from the dc source work? Why does the Passport version suck? What about the higher model?

I have G-Tech Pro RR. It kicks ass. Especially the Road Racing mode when I plugg it into the computer. Seriously worth the money if you are curious/serious about performance. The girlfriend got me a gift certificate to AutoZone so I paid what one would pay the price for an G-Tech Pro SS instead, and my dad gave me 100 bucks for my B-day so I ended up getting it pretty cheap.
Can't wait to get a 335 to use it in. All my friends always beg me to install it in their cars so they can make a few runs. I'm always happy to let that happen. Get G-Tech Pro SS/RR it's worth the money and it works.

I have the G Tech pro AND the G Timer.
The G Timer matches times from the GTech 98% of the time. And even when they don't match it's like .1 to .2 difference. I know for a fact that the G Tech was dead on to the timer at a local drag strip as well, so the Escort G Timer is just as accurate at the G Tech for 0-60 and 1/4 mile times. It'll be a fun $50 spent. Just make sure you use it in a secluded place or non public roads. Enjoy and post some times !! kj |

1) Regular 2) DS 3) Steptronic Then each one with a 2K RPM launch. Should be fun. UPS just dropped it off and I think I'll give it a go tomorrow. |

what were the results... i just got my GT2 in the mail ($55 shipped) and tried a few 0-60 runs... best i got was a 6.75. I need to mess around more with the settings. FYI I ran two 14.5s at the local drag strip. auto 330.
