European Delivery: 2011 335is Blog
Hey guys. This is sorta long over due but here it is. I picked up my 2011 335is on June 1st. I found out that mine was the first one built for Canada and the first coupe to be delivered at the welt , sort of feel happy lol. I ordered the car from Bmw Toronto on May 8th. Ordered the car loaded. Now once all the paper work was done, I had my date for June 1st 2010 on 9:10am @ Bmw Welt. Now time to wait...
So Now that I had my confirmation letter and bill of sale, I was ready to get on Lufthunsa and head to the fatherland and await my beauty. Left YYZ for MUC on May 30th. Arrived in Munich at 7pm. My uncle picked me up and headed to his house in Vatersetten. Stayed the night, had a nice Schnitzel and Wiessebier. "Tired" to get some sleep lol. Next morning heading to Bmw Welt for 7:30am. Was a rainy morning and only 9C outside. Parked in the parkinghaus! And entered the welt and the goose bumps started lol. Once inside I spotted a 123d Msport and a E92 facelifted 335i in Vermillion Red. Walked over the info desk and was directed to a pair of elevators that took me up to my first step to taking deliver of my 335is. Was greated by a nice woman, sat down and began my schedule for the day and the nessecary paperwork. Signed my name in the guestbook named "Das Buch" from Bimmerforums. And representing the little amount of Canadians to do this lol. Welcome to the Premier Lounge! Was the first ones here. Full with everything from Beer, Juice, Coffee, Schnitzel, Broatwurst, Weissewurst, Sandwiches, and more. So I took my time and tired to relax, have a coffee and some food and wait. After only a few minutes of stuffing my face and walking around did I notice my Name on the delivery screen... YAY! After I cleaned off my plate and finished my drink. My delivery specialist named Sasha greeted me. I'll never forget his words "welcome to the best way to pick up your new BMW". Now I knew that I did something right . We left the lounge to go down a VIP elevator to the presentation center. Were we talked about the design of the new facelifted E92. Also had a pretty cool simulator that was about as easy as GT4 on the first race lol. After this... Sasha said "It is time to meet your car"! I was so excited I didnt want to wait any longer! Say Hello to the 2011 335is Coupe. OMG... I can see it from the "Most expensive staircase in the world" Sasha said lol. As we walked down, the hairs on the back of my neck started to stand up... the moment I have finally been waiting for. And here she is. From that point. I was in awe! I was explained how everything work. I-Drive, car systems. So on. Funny thing was that Sasha at the begining didnt even know that I was picking up a "is". He thought it was just a 335i lol. So he didnt know much about that car, I had to educate him lol. Now after all the technical stuff. I was handed over my key! What a feeling. It was finally in my hands I got in the car, put the key in and hit the start button. The noise that it made on cold idle was... WOW! everyone around the area was looking. Even someone picking up his E90 M3 lol. Now that I had waved goodbye to Sasha and shook his hand once more. I did my victory lap around the welt and headed down the ramp. Waving at all the bmw employees and if I was some important person. From there, headed back infront of the Welt for some FREE valet parking and headed inside to take my walkaround of the Bmw Museum. Stay tuned for my next post on the Bmw Museum. Hope you enjoyed this so far! |

EU delivery looks cool. The lounge reminds me of the airports lounges at EU airports and sort of reminds of the Lufthansa lounge at Frankfurt Intl'.

Not like the e46 is a bad car my friend! I still love the e46 ZHP and M3, timeless designs.
