Did you know Dealers offer clear bra?
I just found out on MBWUSA website that they have clear bra installation pricing. They come out to be about $ 500.00 for bumper hood, and mirrors for 3series with m sport package. Does anyon have any experience? Check out below.

...usually...of course, mine went through the port without that being completed (or the rear deck spoiler). So, they ended up paying the local guy and eating the cost difference. Based on my experience, their execution is NOT FLAWLESS

+1000 Has saved my paint more than once, particularly just recently on the aero lip, where i apparently brushed a curb painted white that would have necessitated a re-paint of the lip, but instead just a $150 re-install of the clear bra covering that portion.

Do you drive your couch or lampshade at 80+mph through highways with tons of bugs flying around that seem to embed themselves into your paint on impact, not to mention rocks being flung at your bumpers all the time causing rock chips?

It protects your bumper when you parallel park, and the other drivers park by feel. Better than sporting those huge rubber mats that hang off of your trunk over your bumper and flap in the wind when you don't remove them when driving off. I have both bumpers covered with the 3M stuff: 8 mil thick in front, 14 mil thick in back.

I didn't know that actually... lol at the couch. I already got chips from when my father tailgated a truck on the highway so it's too late for me

It was my first mod to the car, got it installed the day after picking up the car. IMHO it's a must for highway driving.
Don't get it from the dealer, you can get a better product at a beter price from a 3rd party vendor/installer. Check out VentureShield |

Got my ventureshield installed from the place that the dealership had tint my windows. Me and the shop owner got along well and he hooked me up with a good deal. Did my front end (well, my cars front end...not mine)...about 1 foot of the hood, door handle cups, mirrors, door edges, and top of rear bumper for $450. If I had ordered the same option from the dealer it was $900. Way worth it if you drive lots of highway miles.

Got mine done at the dealership as well. They did a great job, can't tell it's there really, until you get right up on it. I won't get another vehicle without a clear bra now.

Your dealership most likely just takes it to a place that does it and marks up the price. Dealers do this with clearbra and tint ALL the time.

I would look into companies that WRAP the bra around edges, and ones that dont cut ON the paint! Premier is notorious for higher level work, but with a slightly higher price tag. BUT, you cant tell, there are no edges, etc.
