Remove front grill?
This should be an easy question. I noticed some leaves in my radiator washing the car today. They were behind the grill, up against the radiator. Too far back to reach with my fingers, and it looked like I couldn't easily get at them from above without unscrewing some sort of a cover above the radiator. I ended up fishing them out with a coathanger and it was a PITA.
Do the front grills just pop off? I wiggled it a bit but didn't want to pull too hard and break it. If I could take off the front grill, I could reach right back there easily.

look at the changing your grilles DIY.
take of the bonnet part of the grilles first, then just grab hols of as many slats as you can, and pull like hell. You won't break anything, but if you do it oo often, the bumper part where the grilles snap in starts to get soft and mushy.

Thanks, Chesmu. I found the thread, if anyone else is wondering the same thing and comes up with my post in a search: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=3830

I see you're picking up on AJ's OCD ...
As Chesmu has already chimed in, its a literal snap to remove/install the grilles

Then you must be relieved and pleased at the continuous spell of mild weather (read: salt and grime free) we've been having of late....

I will be installing a pair of aftermarket chrome accent grilles on my 2006 323i over the next few days. I'm just a bit nervous about breaking the OEM grilles when removing them. It seems very unconventional to yank on the slats to remove them. Neverthless, all the posts here on how to remove the grilles have been very helpful so I'll just have to go on the experience of others and hope for the best.
