Today I started my car (started fine) drove about 300 ft, then the car said 'engine malfunction' on the idrive and the service engine light came on and the car shut off. i tried to restart it, long crank, and it started, only to die again.

is this a HPFP issue? i've never had any issues with long cranks before.

MOst likely hpfp. Although I had same thing happen twice. Once it was a sensor and the last time was 2 weeks ago and all it needed was a software update.
I'm sure I'll be back soon again forr same thing

what a PITA. 911 turbo, anyone?

the car literally shut off while i was driving. what if i was on a highway or in the middle of an intersection? geez.

I KNEW IT! I didn't even get 500 miles and the SAME light came back on with the SAME EXACT codes

Car has been in since monday and not sure when I'll get it back this time.
If I don't get new turbos and hpfp I'm selling this car ASAP. I can't be driving around with an unreliable $50k car. I'm reaching my boiling point...
