Does This Mtech Front Bumper kit look right?

Wassup,

I received an OEM e92 Mtech front bumper kit as a gift from a relative of mine which was purchased from a reputable vendor a couple months ago and have recently found out that i may NOT have gotten all the parts that come with the kit. I was away on military leave during the time of installation so i didn't get to observe what was going on and i just returned last week to find this out.

Here's a pic of what i received during the time of delivery:

At a quick glance i guess it looks pretty straight forward. but then i found the list below....

*bolded font missing

63-17-7-839-866 FOG LIGHTS, RIG 1
63-17-6-906-915 FILLISTER HEAD 4
51-74-8-045-348 AIR DUCT FRONT 1
51-74-8-045-363 FRONT LEFT BRAK 1
51-74-8-045-364 FRONT RIGHT BRA 1
51-75-8-046-333 UNDERHOOD SHIEL 1

51-11-8-041-179 GRID, CENTER 1
51-11-8-041-181 GRID LATERAL LE 1
51-11-8-041-182 GRID LATERAL RI 1
63-17-7-839-865 FOG LIGHTS, LEF 1
51-71-8-045-399 COVER, BOTTOM L 1
51-71-8-045-400 COVER, BOTTOM R 1

51-11-8-044-377 SUPPORT, FOG LA 1
51-11-8-044-378 SUPPORT, FOG LA 1
51-75-8-045-386 ADAPTER STRIP, 1

Also if you notice the fog support on the passenger side does not have the large hole for the oil cooler duct, nor did the kit come with screws or bolts.

Let me know what you guys think

Wont disclose the vendor, waiting on response back

Thanks

I think I know the vendor, and if it's the same vendor I got mine from, I did not get those parts as well, but I don't think those parts are not absolutely necessary for the install. I have had mine installed for the past year without issues. Obviously it's nice to have all the proper hidden parts, but I am happy overall.

get the underbody shield! if you leave the current one on you'll notice it wont mate up to the new bumper (at least on my E90) mine caught a rogue airstream doing about 130mph and ripped loose and dragged along the road. I just installed a new underbody front shield and all is good now but it scared the shit out of me at the time.

Do you have an oil cooler on your car? because mine does and im imagine that id require the extra ducts to provide adequate airflow to it. the right foglight support bracket i recieved doesnt have the hole which goes behind the grid, so if your running the stock airduct with the Mtech bumper it sits behind the plastic, which blocks it off, the only way to get around that is the have the correct bracket which is part # 51-11-8-043-230: SUPPORT, FOG LAMP RI HI & the correct air duct which neither i received.

Some people are saying the brake ducts arent required but im not sure if not having it will have a delayed adverse effects on the vehicle.

Trying to find out if it is indeed required for installation, though if it were included with the kit to begin...

Did you ever get this figured out? That would suck if they didn't include everything needed like they advertise.

(/?) PM me

I do have an oil cooler, let me take a gander at my car, but I think I do have the proper duct. I will look at my car when I get home tonight and check back with you.

The vendor replied that this is how they sell their kits, items such as the original airduct, under shield, screws.. etc will be re-used from the original bumper once dismantled. BUT, before making the purchase the person ordering it stated that i will be giving away my stock bumper so i wont be able to "re-use" the parts because i wont have it. We required ALL necessary parts for installation.

Yep it did come with the washer covers, they are wrapped up atm, he had to request those becuase of the same reason stated above.

Thanks, appreciate it. you may want to check if you have the ducts behind the middle grid as well, i believe those would be for your L & R brake ducts.

Yeah, I got mine from LTBMW as well. Mine only came with those parts but I was missing the washer covers. Sent Long a couple PM's but he hasn't answered....

Also waited a bit longer for "revised" skirts because of apparent fitment issues but it seems it wasn't worth the wait since the skirts still have fitment issues towards the back side.

I had told them I needed parts for a 335i with an oil cooler but I still got the wrong fog light cover for the passenger side and had to buy about $120 worth of ducts for the driver side and passenger side ducts and fog covers. Also had to reuse my washer covers which is a problem since they aren't a direct paint match. Hopefully someone over there responds to my PM's....

Doesnt come with washer covers, you are supposed to reuse the ones on your other bumper that I know of.

You actually re-use the headlight washer covers from your stock bumper.

That's assuming they are still available.
