Anyone know when Dinan will be available for N55?
I have Dinan on my current N54 335i, but planning on getting a new 2011 car. Loved the Dinan and the fact that they stand by warranty. Would like to know if Dinan will be available for the N55, if not, I might have to opt for a 335is (not my preference)
Thanks K |

I would have asked Dinan directly.

I know this isn't what you're looking for but I'd get the 335is just for the transmission. DCT>just about anything else

If you plan to get Dinan on a 2011 335 (if it ever becomes available), I'd skip on the 335is (unless you want it for the cosmetic bits). The Dinan software would wipe out the overboost functionality that comes stock on the car.

^ Agreed...Steve usually takes time to determine how best to modify BMW's software without losing any of its features or compromising reliability. It'll be worth the wait, IMO.

Wouldn't bother me...I'd just add it in at the time I bought it CPO. But that'll be awhile. Only 24K miles on this one...have to wait and see what the next-gen 3 looks like, etc.
And by the way...it's worth every nickel as far as I'm concerned. And I'm not going to argue about it with the piggybackers, so don't bother.

N55 has Valvetronic...BMW itself could not tune it in time for the 1-series M coupe and resorted to N54. Having this in mind, I think you will have to wait about 3 years

They take their time with R&D so it could be a while...my prediction is that it will be released around this time next year.
