N54 Canadian 1/4 Mile Record!
How fitting that a Canadian N54 record was set on Canada day! A number of us went to Cayuga Dragway today to test out the track. The weather was outstanding and the track prep was A1.
I ran the quickest recorded time for an N54 in Canada: 11.763 @ 119.88 r: Car setup was as follows:
Track Conditions as follows: Density Altitude Rating: 1229 Track Elevation: 630 feet Temperature: 69.8 F Relative Humidity: 46% Barometric Pressure: 30.27 The car ran so friggen tight all day, following are my runs: 1. 11.763 @ 119.88 with a 1.691 60' 2. 11.836 @ 118.89 with a 1.729 60' 3. 11.876 @ 119.53 with a 1.754 60' 4. 11.919 @ 119.02 with a 1.778 60' 5. 11.933 @ 120.07 with a 1.825 60' 6. 11.934 @ 118.01 with a 1.758 60' 7. 11.971 @ 119.86 with a 1.858 60' 8. 11.974 @ 118.84 with a 1.778 60' 9. 11.974 @ 116.03 with a 1.758 60' 10. 11.983 @ 118.02 with a 1.772 60' And here are the top 3 time slips: Next up, meth and 11.5! I am so stoked

excellent driving
Auto?? what octane.....103/104? good weather makes a huge difference and those M/T's are working overtime for you. I'm starting to want a set myself.

MS109 Race gas and Steptronic tranny (boy does it help). The DRs are downright awesome.

IAT drop benefits. You'll need a 15ohm board or less to push more boost (meth + race) and then you have a legitimate shot of pushing 11.5-11.6. You can do it!

The octane rating of MS109 is only 101 so meth will certainly help push that rating higher.

Map 10 is about 17.5 psi peak if I'm not mistaken.

today was fun guys....congrats joe, I knew sum1 would get 11s today. DR's are a true most have for the dragway forsure. I just couldnt catch traction on some runs ....time for new tires and to take out some seats. I was haulin ass with good traps tho.
my best of the day was 11.4, at 119 mph with full weight and street tires.... I think my car is good for 12.2 easy with full weight and a good launch. To my surprise I ended up with a 1.9 60 ft, but my transmission upshifted on me in 2nd gear, skrewing up my run.... |

Umm sorry bro but please check your facts, it is actually 101 motor octane. http://www.vpracingfuels.com/ms-109-spec.html I did not log timing as it requires the BT tool and it gets messy in the cabin when trying to focus on lanching the car proper without the BT tool and a computer on the floor. I will see if I can try and get this setup next time. Quote:
Shouldn't the air temps be lower with higher octane fuel due to less heat from lower combustion and ignition? So wouldn't it serve to benefit both? Yep, map 10 is about 17.5 - 18.
