19s on factory sport suspension?
Hey guys. Few questions.. I've tried searching but can't really come up with much.
I have an E90. Does anyone have pics of what they look like with factory sport suspension and 19" wheels? My last e46 had 19s with coilovers. I have factory 18s, but I just picked up a brand new set of VMR CSL staggered 19s. The rear wheels are 19x9.5 and the guy who originally wanted them, wanted the 'stretched' look so he ended up putitng 235/35/19 I think that size is OK for the front, but i won't use that in the back. Would 265/30/19 be what I'm looking for? Thanks for your help guys, -Anthony |

Yes, go with 265/30/19 in the rear.

thats exactly what i was looking for. Thanks!
So, to me.. its "ok" but would definitely look better lowered. my E46 with 19s had no wheel gap.. Just makes for not a smooth ride for my 2 year old in her car seat |

Thanks for all the replies guys.
The wheels/tires were brand new. Previous guy bought them for his E46 but found out they didn't fit. fronts are 19x8.5 with 235/35/19 rears are 19x9.5 and "had" 235/35/19 I didn't like the stretch look at all, so before I mounted them, I brought them to a tireshop and had the rears removed. I had a set of 265/30/19 put on. End result - Much better. here's a pic. |

Looks good, put some 10mm spacers on the rear and it'll look even better!

Are you planning on ever lowering? Cause your tuck would be helpful if you did...less chance of rubbing. |

at first i thought i wanted to, but now.. I'm in no rush..
its 'low enough' for me. my E46 was lowered with coilovers and there was zero gap. Was awesome.. unfortunately, didnt make for fun road trips |

Dr. A
in the pic above the car is running 245/35/19's in the rear et40 + 15 mm spacer You can see there's lots of room. The car is now running 265/30/19's in the rear with a few mms to spare now IMHO: the rears on our cars are at the right height, its the front that sit a bit high. Im looking at sourcing a set of Lowering caps from Supreme Power, that will lower the car 10-15mm up front. They are a couple of weeks out and $70. Last edited by e90ben; 07-08-2010 at 11:51 AM.. |

Will the lowering caps still keep you within camber spec? |

Yes and yes! If you're running a 35 offset like me with the 9.5 inch rims out back you can stuff a 10mm spacer in no problem. When I switched my tires to a 275 I had to do a minor fender roll, still got the 10mm spacer n there. Its a noticable difference that adds to the stance for $100.
