JB3 6/30 Alpha Firmware
BMS has posted the 6/30 alpha firmware and interface for public testing.
By popular request from manual transmission owners BMS has reworked the part throttle boost targeting giving much more precise control over lower boost targets. They also setup the amount of boost you make for a given throttle input a new user adjustable field called pedal target. Now you can adjust it from mild to wild to suite your own personal tastes and driving style! I've been testing mine at 50% and it feels much smoother than before at lower throttle inputs, not that it was bad before, but now I can set it how I like it. . where do you post all this firmware? seems like every new release is at a new link. Can't keep track anymore.
The only link I have is http://www.n54tech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=8425 and that still has the 6-15-10 HEX file

6-15 just became beta the other day. The thread you linked to is for beta (stable) firmware. The new 6-30 alpha has it's own thread (stickied) in the Forced Induction forum.

Do you have JB3 2.0 Gen 3 and a laptop? It's really easy to do. Trust me I had no idea how to get to the ECU but after one time it takes me 10min or less. I can walk you through it, its worth updating to new updates when they come out. |

I shot you an PM. You are pretty much there. Just have to use the user interface "upload firmware" browse to the HEX file and click ok. It will do the rest.

I won't be able to update if I don't have Windows, correct?

Really like this update, be running pedal target at 50 and overall my car is been acting alot better! I feel like this update added some nice power aswell. havent played with any other settings but so far it feels really nice where it is at. Responsive boost and nice tq esp 3rd gear pulls!

I think Bimmer335i07 updated my girls car with this software last night as I upgraded it from 1.4 to 2.0.
I think all the settings are set to default, but we leave it in Map 3 and the power delivery is much improved and the throttle response is wicked! |
