yea was wondering about doing this too! I have a Tiag too and that looks clean. I'll probably do it this weekend...what did you use floss, fishing wire,??

I used dental floss and goo gone, it took litteraly 3 minutes.
You should defiantly do it, and even if you dont like it, its like $10 to replace.

If no codes are being thrown use Chevron Techron fuel injector cleaner (concentrate). It solves rpm fluctuating upon cold start-up. Also, for most BMW problems start off by scanning your car with the Peake Research Tool. It contains the actual BMW codes. If you want to register a newly installed battery for free (just buy a $10 cable) and google/download BMWLogger

I did mine last summer. Floss and goo gone is all you need. Will come off easier if it has either been sitting in the hot sun for an hour or you heat it up with a blow dryer on low.

Just to reiterate here, Goo Gone is definitely the substance you want. Goo Off, conversely, is much more aggressive and may damage your clearcoat. I can see how these might be easy to confuse when you're in the store - "Was it Goo Gone or Goo Off? Eh, whatever they're probably the same" sort of thing. If you're really having trouble with the residue, use a hair drier to heat it up and it should become much more workable.
