Neither could I - the image on this link appears to have slightly darker wheels...

Pics are on the car configurator on BMW's website. It does look nice but can't help feel that one wheel type, one interior and three colours is limiting its audience somewhat.

But that's the point, special editions are meant to be erm, 'special'.

If you could change it to any colour or interior or options then it wouldn't be a special edition any more.... it would be a normal model with dark wheels. Or maybe you could delete those too?

Still like to see the dark chrome alloys in the flesh though.....

The fact it is only available on the road warrior models means it is aimed at company car buyers who don't want to bust their car allowance grade too much, so £595 gets them something a bit different for the sales conference car park.

Oh, I understand that.

As an example, they could have had special edition versions of two or three leather interiors - maybe special edition alloy wheels (as an alternative to the dark wheels in the package). Just a thought.

So, is this the first time on a four pot you can officially get as standard chrome grills and a twin exhaust? They are going to love it

Yep, might open the floodgates eh? Whats next, an officially sanctioned ///M badge on the back?

I hear BMW will also be offering 325i/d-330i/d with optional 335i/d double pipes from Sep 2010 production.
