Need help decding which FMIC to get

ok so i am thinking of adding a fmic to my car but i am not sure which one to get. Which one would be most reliable?, which one gives better performance?
Three that i found were Evolution Racewerks, Active Autowerke, and RPi intercooler. Those are the ones i found on mod bargains. I also saw Stett's FMIC so these are the ones im trying to decide from. Pros and cons of all would be great

was definitely worth it...there are a huge number of independent reviews on this forum as well as a pretty in-depth thread on the shootout between different FMICs and Helix came out on top...that was a while back though...

if I was buying one today I'd consider the newly redesigned Helix first and the HPF second..

Active and AMS are solid choices. I prefer Active as it's a bit larger than others but does require trimming the bumper on some cars.

wow, look at the vultur...ahemm, vendors in here

bro, read some independent reviews and make an educated purchase...not saying these vendors are misleading you in any way but you'll need to read up a bit...ton of threads on here...in any case, don't think you'll go wrong on any of these: Helix (especially redesigned, personally think nothing beats it right now), AMS, HPF, AA

I've never seen a credible comparison. Enough people have tested the Helix to convince me that it helps; and my own experience convinces me that my cp-e FMIC helps. But I think that's about as good as the data gets.

I am surprised you have not considered HPF? I don't think anything else comes even close to their stuff:

Take what you read on here with a grain of salt. These personal reviews are done by Joe smoe who doesn't know his ass from his elbow. The venders will push whatever they stock. I would avoid intercoolers with shit end tank design that look like someone welded Lego blocks together.

LOL

I was going to post but then saw this so thought twice, but just want to offer advice

I have sold/carry many brands but I would say the two I like the most and my customers like the most are the AMS and Helix. Both are great units and fitment is spot on!

so we have effectively named every FMIC on the market for the e9x. I think we made the OP's decision a little easier. LOL

I can't complain about the Helix, excellent IAT's both on the track as on the street.. but I have to be honest, my reference is the standard BMW IC...

There is a comparison on the board somewhere, Helix jumped out in ways of IC performance, pretty sure the others will do a good job too! Just be sure that you do not by chines crap or similair.. Constructing a good IC is a specialist job.

Go with a proven specialist! ;-)

I'll sell you my AMS right now for 650 shipped. Comes with 3" intercooler piping and silicon couplers and T-Bolt clamps. Only has a few thousand miles on it.

Can you let us know which one fits this Lego block endtanks that you are describing? Which ones you feel that are on the market today fits that description!

yea man thats why i am asking this question in this thread i am trying to get multiple reviews of different FMIC so i can make a decision. But unfortunately i dont know which one to go with they all seem good and all claim about the same hp gain. But i dont know which to chose some are big some are small and so on and so forth. so any personal reviews would be helpful i will search for others as well on my own

Helix is a solid choice.

I love mine.

I did buy the car from a close friend who already had it installed on the car, so it's not like I had a choice but Helix is a solid company and IC is a must do upgrade on this car.

Helix has by far the worse endtanks I have ever seen. Simply apply common sense when looking at the desgin of that intercooler......People who spend money on something will always tell you their brand is the best.

Seriously? Would you rather have airflow going through bends or 90 degree angles? Whats up with the outlet/inlet pipes simple welded to the center of a block? Its simply horrible and yet people who don't know any better believe marketing bs and say omg its the bestest eva! Think.

Incase you lack common sense, here are some facts
