E92 seat belt assist

Hey guys,

My wife's car's seat belt assist on the driver's side is intermittently not catching the seat belt. We took it into the dealer (still under factory warranty) and they put an "extension" onto it and said it was fixed. It is still not catching the seat belt. Is anyone else having this problem or is it just us?

thanks

I think its just the way it is. Mine goes through phases where it wont catch it for like a day then it will be fine for a few weeks. Dealership didnt do anything for me

i recently took my e92 to the dealership and asked them to address this issue in my car as both the driver and passenger side was not catching. They replaced both extending arms, which helped some, but I would say they still don't catch about 50% of the time , guess its just something we gotta deal with

Mine only worked half the time and was in my way when it did not catch so I just pulled the fuse and dont worry about it anymore. Sorry off topic i know but this is an option.

Here is what I have discovered. If the seatbelt, where it is attached to the rail by the floor is not slid all the way back on the rail (toward the back seat) the seatbelt delivery system will not engage the belt correctly all of the time causing a better chance of a missed delivery. Since being better about making sure my seatbelt is in this proper home position after taking it off I found my experience more consistent. This can of course happen more often if you have stuff on the rear floor keeping the belt from sliding to the back of the rail freely. Anyway, this works for me....
