upgrading the high beam in an e90?
i want to change the high beam in my car..i want to switch to a more powerful bulb that will illuminate a blueish white instead of the amber color now when they run as drl's..anyone know how to achieve this look?

You can't. Even the blue ricer bulbs are only going to be blue when at full power. DRLs run at about half power, so you will never get a blue/white light while in DRL mode. Granted, it will still be a little whiter than stock bulbs, but probably not what you're looking for...
You could possibly try LED bulbs, but I don't think they will be bright enough for DRL.

I would recommend trying out some Phillips XTreme Power H7 bulbs. They're not sold here in the US, so you'll have to order them from the UK. They're noticeably whiter and brighter than stock, but still look like halogens. I think www.powerbulbs.com sells them.
