WTB 17" snow tires

I am looking for 2 rear snow tires for my
17" OEM 161 rims
I believe they are 255/40/17
I wonder 235 or 245 will fit?
if you have a used pair, please contact me

Why not run a square setup? That way you can rotate the tires from front to back

I am not sure about the square setup
the rims are stagged, rear is wider than the front....
225 front
255 rear
maybe these OEM rims are not meant to use for snow condition

that's why I am curious if I could put 225 tires in the rear, will it fit?

I can trade for a set of non stagged 17" if anyone wants a 161 style
but my front snow tires got 80% of thread.
the rear is down to 0%.

I ran 225/45/17 at all 4 corners on 161s with no issues , the rear rim is 8.5 inches wide only

thanks, its nice to know you've done it before and its safe
what do you mean? if the rear rims is 8.5" wider .... 8.5" is a lot
do you mean 0.5" wider? than the front

if that statement holds true, then I am shopping for 225/45/17 tires, thanks

front rim is 17 x 8 and rear 17 x 8.5
but you can rotate them front to back if using 225 tires

I have 4 snow tires for 400$ 225/45/17. They are about 90-95%, used them for maybe 3 weeks on 328i staggered setup.
Let me know if you are interested.

I'd really prefer all four gone at the same time.

JackB,
You ran a squared setup on you 335i. Do you have the sport package? I was worried that the rim would not clear the brake calipers.....
Thanks in advance for the clarification.

I paid 165$ a tire plus tax. I can ship them, you'll have to find out shipping cost though.
