Merry Chiristmas to me!!!
My dad just surprised me with the complete Zaino kit for XMAS!! I am so pumped--something to do over the next few weekends!
Now all I need is the Porter Cable orbital--where can I get one at a decent price? ![]()

As far as the orbital goes--how can I skip it? I thought that was the best way to bring the benefits of zaino out? Isnt it much harder to use all the supplies by hand? ![]()

Although I too would think an orbital would be great.

The way I look at it, I have already got $145 just in supplies--so what's another $150 to get the orbital and some decent pads for it? I have just seen enough testimony by DavidN and Picus on here to make me believe that the PC is worth the money. And for a process that is pretty time consuming anyway--any that you can save would be nice!

Zaino.. is pure man power.... no machine...
you need to have warm weather..... unless u can find a heated garage... otherwise.. takes forever to dry... even with the accelerator...

I guess I just have always thought of using an orbital--seems like at least some do it by hand.....maybe I'll try that first, go from there.

Orbital is great but it just wastes more Zaino product. Yes, there has been good testimony from our trusted detailing members but that is for the P-C orbital (I recommend all Porter Cable tools). They are not recommending you use it for every application. I'm pretty sure they were using it for polish work, etc. With that said it wouldn't hurt to use one unless you have a dirty car of course

Yeah, the PC is the one I would get. I have heard nothing but good things about it on this forum, as well as other places on the web. If anything, it will save me time and give me some piece of mind that my first ever Zaino application was at least put on correctly.
