New feature: Procede IN-DASH Boost Gauge (now available)
NOT a teaser....
This feature was actually one of the handful of features that we planned to keep hidden in our back pocket for a few months and release them staggered. Just to keep people guessing and the copycats chasing a moving target. But our customers have been so supportive lately, we've decided to release it early and just in time for the weekend. Not to mention the fact that you guys ask for it every other day Those in the email beta list will be getting this simple firmware update later today (Friday). Just update your firmware and it will turn your fuel gauge into a boost gauge that mirrors the same user boost scaling that we've all gotten used to. Full=20psi of boost, Empty=0psi, 1/2 tank=10psi. Simple. This approach turn out to be a lot better than the previous digital temp gauge approach we tested and demo'd a few months ago. MUCH faster responding in both direction. And just a whole lot easier to read from the corner of your eye. There is a LOT more to come. And nope, this does not eliminate your fuel gauge. You can still toggle back to normal fuel gauge display when you want. Nor does this interfere with the mpg or miles-til-refill computations. Nor does it trigger any low tank lights. No issues. Just another vice-free Procede v4 feature. And yes, it (along with the other gauges) will eventually also be able to display other useful info such Aggression Level, Autotuned Boost, Autotuned Ignition Correction and even perhaps fault code information so you don't need a laptop to check for codes Looking forward to hearing what you guys think of it. Cheers, Shiv Last edited by OpenFlash; 07-16-2010 at 12:41 PM.. |

Here's another demo video with some commentary. Excuse my voice. I didn't have one for a few days and now it's finally coming back. Explains why I've been in front of my computer so much lately

Are the ordinary displays functions as e.g. remaining distance to run low on fuel working when the fuel gauge is used for e.g. boost? In such case there is almost no reason to use the fuel gauge for what it was meant to.

i dont know if i over read it, but the boost thats being displayed in the "in-dash" boost gauge, is that the same value one would see in their datalogs or similar to a boost gauge feeding from the manifold?
i am curious because i am thinking of the rixster one still(because its beautiful), but this is handy as well. teri

This is amazing. It's easy to read at a glance and very responsive. I'd have to say this is better than the digital display IMHO.
Congratulations and good work Shiv. |

No doubt that the Rixst3r/p3 gauge is a beautiful gauge. It's well integrated, very fast responding, displays actual psi numbers and no doubt that many will get it regardless. And we encourage that. But for those who weren't in the market for a boost gauge, our feature is a good option I think. And certainly better than the crappy $20 automated gauges that I used to stick in my car for quick diagnosis. Cheers Shiv |

So this mostly likely is just showing you re-calibrated intercooler pipe pressure... which is why it has always been suggested to have a real boost gauge and not just rely on datalogs. They can emulate making it read the same, but then you are just skewing actual readings rather than showing real raw results. I can't imagine anyone with a fully modded car relying on this as their only way of reading boost. Personally, I would keep a real boost gauge and use this to show other info, like agression target, AIT, or something else of that nature that isn't readily available on other gauges. \\ Imagine having a real-time gauge of your current auto-tuned settings that goes up and down letting you know exactly how much power is to be on tap when you hit the gas... drop in some race gas and watch your UT and IC raise up automagically, now that would be sweet! Looks good shiv! -Rick Last edited by RiXst3r; 07-16-2010 at 08:31 AM.. |

Most excellent. I still wouldn't give up my rixst3r guage, but looking forward to the other parameters that can be displayed!
Meth flow as a % of the Injection Mode value would be great! |

So awesome, makes me even more anxious to get a Procede in the future. I was just thinking the other day what I was going to do because I've heard that you kinda need a boost gauge when you get an aftermarket tune just to do any kind of diagnosis, but I didn't want to take apart the dash for a Rixster gauge. Such a great idea.
