Canada Trade in Value Website
I remember someone posting a link to a site that showed wholesale trade in prices for used cars in Canada... anyone have that link?
Thanks! |

I think this may be it...the values here though always seemed a little low to me and lower than black book.

You're right vmr has never proven itself to be accurate, and Blackbook has?
Whenever someone asks me about wholeslae values, I tell them to find 3 competitely priced similar cars on Trader.ca, take the average price and deduct about 20%-25% or $2,000-$2,500 whichever is greater. I have found that to be far more accurate. BTW- If you can't find someone to give you a fair price for your car let me know. We have dealers calling us all the time looking to buy our member's trade ins and often they offer more than the new car dealers. And the dealers don't mind, becuase they are selling their new cars cheap to our members, they find trade ins a real pain. Later, CCCPres |

Two thumbs up for CarCostCanada BTW. Most reliable (only?) site for Canadian wholesale costs on new vehicles and and current incentives on new cars.

Black Book always feels like a dealer / manufacturer-supported scam to me. The trade-in values are so often so far below what's reasonable that it just feels like a crutch to support dealers low-balling people trading in their cars.

I believe CBB is based on actual trade in values in Canada, so those prices they list are indeed what dealers are paying you for your baby come upgrade time
