JB3 2.0 occasional low boost Error Code
I don't think this one has been described yet....Ran JB3 1.4 (map 3) for many months no issues.
Within 1 week after I installed the JB3 2.0 (map 3) update chip, I started getting an occasional "low boost" error code: engine malfuction, 1/2 power. I don't have the exact code. It happens sporadically, but always when I accelerate very slowly from any cruising speed. for instance I was getting on an on-ramp behind traffic and was poking along, I push the accelerator just slightly to speed up, at about 20-30mph and as I begin to accelerate, slowly to 35, it comes on. also happens as I'm coasting around a curve, say going 60, and hit the gas gently. Under hard excelleration I have no issues. thoughts?

And it happens so rarely I've not tried another map...only map 3. I'll try map 0 for a few days and see.

If its coming up at light throttle update to the 7/4 firmware, they made some changes in there to accommodate various ECU versions. And if its at WOT then you need to raise the min or max target setting. Either way email me or BMS a scan of the code/freeze frame data and we will let you know what to adjust.

Sounds like the 30FF code, just scan and reset if it is.

I believe that's correct, based on the description the guy who cleared the code gave me.
Resetting is getting annoying. I guess the new 7/4 firmware update will alleviate the problem. So, I'm going that route. I'll report back.

Also, will this allow me to update the chips when new versions come out? (Excuse my ignorance I'm pretty new to the BMS products.)

It may not be related to the JB3 at all. I'm completely stock and had this happen a few times on a road trip. With the BT it was the 30FF code. Took it to my dealer as soon as I got home. They couldn't figure out what the problem was and just wanted to update my software without knowing what the issue was... Given that I am on the original software (07 build) I wasn't going to turn my car into a laggy turd and declined them to do anything. Just figure I'd wait till something takes a crap and then they will know what to fix. Good luck.

Either way the firmware update will be useful, so I'll do it. Thanks for the input.

BMS customer service is exponentially more effective at addressing support issues than can be elicited from the public in an online thread.
