Too late to change trim?
Hey all,
I ordered my 335i last friday (not yesterday). I want to change my trim from Burl to Aluminum. Do you think it's too late? (I just called my sales rep and left a message....awaiting a response). Thanks. -Adam |

Nah. I had around 2 weeks to change things before the order was set in stone.

i don't think it is. My sales rep told he last week that the e92 335i's are in great demand and that people placing their orders now have a 2 month waiting period untill car starts production.
I would def call back and see when he's available or if he's in have him call him over the speaker things to pick up and tell him. I don't think it's to late. I placed my order novermber 6th. Called back 3 or 4 days later to change the interior color and trim and all was ok. Then i called him a week later and added idrive. Because the car was not in production yet. And did not start productions until December 9th i think or something withing those days. Good luck give him a call.

They generally lock it down about 2-4 weeks from the delivery date. It's easy for them to submit the changes and receive a confirmation. I changed the color of my ride at least five times ...to include changing the trim and adding accessories. You're the customer....change what you want. Enjoy.

Well, one good thing: even if it is too late, you can always easily change out your trim later. Lots of members here are swapping their's out. I bet you can find someone who would be willing to trade.

or if you show your dealer you really wanted that other trim, i'm pretty sure they can order the trim and place it in when it get's to your dealer at no charge.
