Mtec HID kit help

Purchased an Mtec HID kit august last year, recently I noticed that when the lights turn on, they are blue-ish then turn to a halogen color. Sometimes one side will not turn on at all. Before they would stay that blue-ish color. Is that normal? Bought them from Ebay seller Autoperfect for $300 they are supposed to be 6000K

Also the error cancelers are very very hot. Is that normal? Thanks in advance
