BMS PowerBox Purchase & Installation in HK
Dear All,
After a lot of reading and hesitation, I plan to make the dive and get a BMS PowerBox for my slow-po 323i. I know you can get it online and sent to me directly, but I am a complete idiot when it comes to installations and car repairs. Any of you had any experience with the BMS PowerBox? Can someone recommend a good garage for installation? Thanks. |

Steven,
It is not that complicated.....all you need is a screw driver to unscrew yr battery cover and then, take out the ECU of yr car...then, just plug and play! Terry of BMS is very helpful and thus, the installation video can be getting from his website which shows you the babystep very clearly!! No need to spend the extra to pay garage for this work....summer time is here, just wear a T-shirt to get this job done within 30 mins!!

The Asia version is more suiting to our Asia climate situation and also, gasoline quality!! Our Asia JB users have been providing lots of info to Terry in fine tuning his product to alter the spec more Asia oriented!! Have fun....

no side-affect right on 325? because I don't have that much spare money to spend. can't afford to the "never ending road" of mods after i install this BMS powerbox |

I just received my PowerBox in the mail. Called Monster and they seem reluctant to install it. They asked for my number and said they will let me know when they're free.... (brush off)
Any other recommendations for the garage? |

How much did you pay for the powerbox freight? I had a quote from monster yesterday, 3000 powerbox n installation.

Including shipping, HK$2550. Got it in like 3-5 days. I didn't get a quote from Monster, got the brush off instead. I haven't gotten installed yet but i got a garage recommendation from another member and they quoted HK$800 for installation. I'll let you know how it goes after I install it. |

For me, I've limited budget... I bought my PBX online which cost USD275 shipped, and have it installed by local garage in Hong Kong with $500 labor fees. Hope it helps! |
