Simota CF CAI Installed
Finally installed the Simota CF CAI this morning w/ my dad. Took longer than we had anticipated, but it was just due to some trial & error & dropping a screw down the engine! Smh, good thing I have small hands & can reach the tight spots.
Bought the Simota CF CAI from Cal @Jlevi on the weekend at their grand opening. It was part of the "garage sale parts", so pricing was great! hehe. Thought I'd post a mini review of the intake. Aesthetically the Simota intake looks greats w/ all the CF parts. As far as performance and sounds goes...there is a noticeable difference. Once you step on the gas, you can feel and hear the power/torque increase. The new intake gives you about a 5-10 hp gain. The car now has a deeper "growl" to it. You can hear that "growl" better at around 3500/4000 rpm. Overall, I'm pretty happy with the results. Here's a few pics of it install. (Sorry for the crappy iphone pics) |

Heck the BMW Performance Intake only claims up to 3hp gain.
