Clear Bra for the front?
I just emailed a shop regarding a clear bra type film for the front bumper of my car..ive never done this before but it seems it would be cheaper to repaint a bumper than to put a clear bra on a car...any tips?

what most people do is clearbra their front bumper after purchasing their new car to ensure that future rock chips are less likely to occur. if you need a repaint and want that future protection, just repaint it and then get the clearbra installed.

when i had my e92 and was one of the first few to have the mtech front, i quickly clearbra'd it when i got it painted. it was a full custom piece so there weren't any lines and it was a perfect and clean install. it cost a bit but it was def worth it than having to repaint if i had a ton of rock chips. it's well worth it in the end.

My whole car is getting repainted..I was quoted 500 for thr clear bra and to get my bumper repainted again would cosy less...so I guess the clear bra isn't worth it.

500 seems a little much, I only paid 275.00 to clearbra my m-tech front bumper

lets say you get it repainted after getting rock chips. it'll only happen again and you'll have to continue to repaint it each time. If you own the car I would definitely invest in a clear bra even if it's not the full hood wrap. I've been saved a few times when parking too close in the spots that have those cement blocks. Since my aerolip was clear bra'd I was able to just have that one section replaced instead of either living with the scratch or having the whole lip repainted. Plus you wont have to worry about swirl marks and having to polish the clear bra'd area so that portion of the car's paint will look nice and shiny
