Spacer removal

Hey guys, I read somewhere that spacers must be periodically removed for "maintenance". Is this true? And what maintenance are they talking about?

The only problem would be the spacer seizing onto the hub but that is easily fixed by adding on some anti-seize.

Kevin is right,

Make sure you get a wire brush and clean any dirt, grime off the hub.

Apply liberal amounts of anti-seize, and torque them to spec.

When adding anti-seize, please be sure to only at it to the hub and not the lug bolts or lug bolt seats... I have seen this done before and the outcome was disastrous...
