Thumbs up Just placed an order on a 335i Coupe

So, I just ordered a BMW 335i Coupe over at Long Beach Bmw ordered with Will. Great Guy! $2000 Below Msrp. Reasonable since it's a hot car. Now, I just have to wait. :rocks:

Montego Blue BMW 335i
Black Interior/Grey Poplar Wood Trim
Steptronic,Paddle,Premium,Sports,A.Steering,Comfor t,
Heated Seats,Shade,PDC,Navi.
Should I make any changes on the paint or interior?
Is it true that auto tranny on the car is the same as the M6?

No way. The M6 is SMG, yours isn't.

Congrats on the order! Now the hard part begins...the wait

about your changes to the interior...IMO, your car would look better with the red interior and black poplar trim. I wish that was offered on the sedan, but it isn't

I might change it tomorrow.
How strong is the auto tranny for the 335?

Is 2000 below msrp decent?
Can a I lower the price more?

Will is a great guy. When I talked to him, he was willing to give me $1000 above invoice. I'm not sure about the tranny as I knew from the get go that I want manual.

I've read that the 6 series MT is the same ZF transmission as the 335's. I really like it.

I haven't seen any indication that the new ZF auto in the 335 is in any other BMW though.

Well, after talking to several people, I changed the color of the car.
I changed it to Montego Blue with the Black interior and Gray Poplar Wood Trim.
Same options.

Ha! That was the only time my CA got irritated with me. How does one negotiate further on an agreement? Isn't it 0 or 1, on or off? Imho be satisfied with 2k off sticker. maybe you can get another $500 off if the timing is right, but why worry about it any further if it's done? Congrats!

You do know that you found me on here, and i'm going to come on here and read this, right?

We agreed on the price, and you'll be happy with the car. But an agreement is an agreement, and I gave you a fair deal.

I was going to give Wisith $1,000 over invoice on a 335i Sedan, but he decided to order with somebody else

Congrats on your car, Gilbert! I'll let you know as soon as I get a production number. I'll be in New York tomorrow through the 8th, but when I get back I'll make sure too double check.

Its people that think like you that dont deserve the good deals. I guess if you feel its ethical to renegotiate a deal after its made, then it must be fair for your CA to do the same. How would you feel when you walk in to pick up your ordered car & your CA says he changed his mind... the deal is now MSRP?

If I were your CA I wouldn't risk ordering a specific car for you without a non-refundable deposit. If I was a CA and you tried renegotiating on a high demand car like a 335 I would show you the door.

You realize that even if you were able to renegotiate the deal at delivery, you will be forever labeled as a bad customer. Good luck getting decent service after pulling your reneg deal.

EDIT: I see your CA has already seen you plans. Have fun getting the best service available & future deals on any car.

if montego, think of saddle/black too, trim could be silver, or natural or even gray poplar

I know that I was getting a good deal but wanted to make sure.Sorry, If I came off as an ass. After all who wouldn't want to pay as less as possible. I wasn't going to knock off the price that much lol.

I know that you post here and was expecting you to respond.
I overanalyze things. Sorry for pulling your chain.

Have fun on your trip.

I walk out, many CA's don't give a $hit and have done this to customers. I can always go somewhere else.

I've been showed the door a few times before and most of the time they call back and still wanted to work with me.
You need my business, I don't need yours.

If I get treated like shit I won't buy a car from you next time.

This is what seperates a good ca from a bad one. Even though he read my post, on what I said he kept his cool and was straight foward with me.

Hopefully, he doesn't start giving me bad service.

I was just messing around buddy. You didn't come off as an ass at all, I just thought it was funny. I'm actually smiling right now. You're a cool cat, and you're gonna love your car.

Anyways, I have to wake up at 4:30 a.m. for my 7:00 flight so I'm gonna hit the sack. You've got my cell number Gilbert, call me if you need anything!

You should see the gray poplar in person on a car with your interior choice first. I saw it on a SG E92 with coral red interior and didn't like the shade of gray. Too much going on inside as well...black dash, grayish wood, red-red seats with black plastic seat releases. Just not for me.

At least with black leather, all the other plastic and dash are black as well and match up. Maybe the gray poplar looks better with black interior.

The Gray Poplar will look AWESOME in a Montego Blue on Black Leather car.

Anyways, I just provided Gilbert with his production number - and the car is in 112 status. I was able to bump him ahead of the line due to a cancelled deposit. He totally skipped the "On Order" category and went straight to "Scheduled for Production"!
