turning off the tire pressure monitor light..anyway to do that?
I just put my old 19's from my E90, onto my E92..ofcourse they arent runflats, and dont have the sensor embedded in them, and now my damn TPM light wont go off in the dashboard...anyway I can turn that off? (fuse..etc) without unmounting my tires/rims and inserting sensors...PLEASE HELP!

![]() if its the same thing i think your talking about (the tire pressure indicator light)... start your engine. use the thing in the middle of the handle and move it up once and down a few times until you see INIT then press the BC button. and drive a bit it should reset. but yours is e92.. so i dunno if its the same thing.

well I could do that, but I took these wheels of my e90 they've been high speed balanced and all...so I dont want to lose that, I'll get the sensors once I get new tires for the car, and have them balanced and mounted all at once...if that makes sense

try resetting the tpm system by scrolling to the INIT icon and click the BC button once then hold it down for a few seconds till u see the checkmark..my system every now and then gives me the warning msg without a flat and thats what i do to reset it...duno if that helps u but it should remove the error on ur new rims

Just reset the monitor and error should go away. Resetting tells the computer that the current pressure is normal. btw, I think it actually detects rotation or something because i don't think there is an actual 'pressure sensor' inside the wheel. Hence the car cannot tell you the pressure of your tire but rather 'decrease in pressure'. I know the TL has pressure monitor that tell you exactly how many psi is in each tire.. a nice feature. |

Guys - E92 is different from E90. He has actual tire pressure sensors in each tire, not the ABS/rotation speed sensor like we have on the E90. He can't reset his system like we can with the E90 unless his replacement tires have sensors in them.

+1 BK's right. E92's have actual sensors in their valve stems.

yup yup!
someone should make a fake tpms sensor that you can mount in ur inside fender wall that just tells the car ur tires are fine all the time

do u have i drive? i dont know about any other way but you need to go into th mode to set the tire pressure and set it again. you have to to turn the engine on to do so. Don't move, stay in park and do it.

This WILL NOT work for E92. You HAVE to have sensors in the wheel. It is a totally different system than E90. E90 uses Flat Tire Monitor, it works off of rotational difference. E92 uses TPMS, actually senses pressure in the tires. it's a more acurate system, but a PITA for aftermarket wheels. Right now you can re-set the TPMS all you wish, it will just come back. |

I just got my e90 335i last week. I noticed that "TPM" on the valve of each wheel. Do i have tire pressure monitor or flat tire monitor? and do i need a gauge to read the actual tire pressure? or it can be read from the dashboard? I can't find it though.
