How to remove piggy back software . HELP!!

Hey , I just recently found out that my car has piggy back tune on it from the last owner.

I want to take it off , Is there a tutorial showing how to take the software off?
Can I even take it off?

I really dont want this because its causing limp mode in my car.
and BMW said its aftermarket part so they wont remove it. =/

I could appreciate any help! , thanks

First of all...did you buy this car from a dealer? Or privately? Because selling a car with a tune is stupid.

Yes you can take if off...I'm guessing you don't know which tune but usually they are tapped into wires in the ECU box.

I doubt the tune is causing limp mode....probably your HPFP but since your dealer knows about the tune, they won't warranty anything unless you get lucky/you are very tight with the service manager.

Take it to an indy shop if your out of warranty....or if you don't care that dealers charge ridiculous amounts for any type of work then take it there.

Be glad they didn't void the warranty. If it's a piggyback then you need to look up how to uninstall the JB3 / Procede / JB + and do that. You'll prolly realize when you see the piggyback

So you bought a car that you know consistently goes into limp mode? That certainly wasn't a smart move...

What a mess, wires not taped, some coming apart, it's probably limping because something came apart.

Go here http://burgertuning.com/support.html and download the 135/335 JB1/JB2 guide and print it out - removing it involves extracting what looks like 4 wires back out of the ECU connectors that go the the JB1/2 and then putting the original 4 wires that are not connected to the JB1/2 back into the ECU connectors and then plugging the ECU back in. If the guide isn't enough, ether call BurgerTuning or post a help request on the forum and maybe someone in your area will give you a hand. It's fairly easy to do, just be methodical and careful with everything as not to damage any of the connectors or clips. You got into the ECU box, so you can probably handle the rest - good luck!
