I clayed my AW 330xi tonight.

The car has 46k miles on it and was probably never clayed. This is my first time ever claying a white car. What a sloppy mess came off the paint! The lube quickly turned reddish brown from all the contaminates that came of the supposedly "clean" paint. It felt like shark skin before and now it feels like a mirror. Time for a hand glaze and wax. Maybe tomorrow.

Wheel spacers are in the near future.

Well, it's a little late now since you did this yesterday, but you know you should never clay your car and then just leave it right? Your paint is totally unprotected after you clay so it's essential to polish and wax the same day (unless you're just keeping it garaged until then).

+1, but the car is looking good! This may go without saying, but make sure to wash it before you apply sealant/wax if it's spent any time outdoors. If it's in your garage then you're probably fine.

The paint will be alright. Nothing is going to happen to it if he doesn't wax it right away. As long as the surface is clean before the glaze and wax it will be fine.

AW is the worst/best to clay. It is great because you can see every little contaminate but worst for the same reason. It took me 2 hours to clay my AW 1-series for the first time and it was only 1 year old!

I plan on doing this to my AW, also. Thanks for the tips above and I can't wait to see the finished product myself!

Yes, the car was clayed and then slept in the garage. I hand glazed it and waxed it before it left the garage.

Here it is in my cluttered garage:
