My first impression of Vishnu Procede v4.10 Autotune
This is my first impression with Vishnu Procede v4.10 Autotune with Firmware #22 and 7-14 6AT map that I'v been enjoying for about a week now. I used to run SSTT and was pretty happy with it. But, it would throw up limp mode when ever the weather gets above 90 degrees and I'm driving in normal auto mode. It's interesting the it never had problems in sport auto mode.
Any ways, I wanted something with more power and didn't trigger limp modes. I looked at the most popular tunes like JB3, Dinan stage 2, and Procede. I ended up deciding on the Procede because of the auto tune feature and it was removable. I am very happy with it. It was not as easy to install as it seemed on the video but Shive was very helpful. He even called me on a Saturday morning to make sure that I can enjoy my new Procede for the weekend. Now, I think I can install and remove the thing without any trouble. There is definitely a learning curve. The SSTT is the easiest to install and remove, it's unbelievable. The performance of the Procede is amazing. I love the way it delivers the power, smooth and powerful. I could not believe the way my car drives now. BMW should have made it this way from the start. I use to primarily drive in sport auto mode because I did not like the way the regular auto had to down shift and the lag in gear changes. I really feel like the extra power helped. Don't get me wrong tho, I still like the sport auto better, but in traffic, regular auto is much better to drive now. So, I am more impressed with the unexpected new driveability and control than I am impressed with the power and the smoothness of that power delivery. But, I can't forget to mention that it is wicked fast. I'm one happy customer. I can't wait to try the new firmware and the new map. I know a lot of people are very impressed with them. Zaw |

Yeah, I wish Shiv's install video was higher quality and a little more detailed. JB did a pretty good job with their video, same thing, better quality. Shiv actually refers people to that video

I agree. I installed it on the first try using the video without any issues.

Yeah but for first timers opening the ECU and seeing the tons of wires is very intimidating to say the least!! Especially when the Procede first came out with the pin out version...that was no joke scary for the first timers!

I hope you ran a USB to Serial cable thru the firewall because if you are impressed now, you should upgrade to the latest 8-17 Beta maps/firmware #25. This will add the new Wastegate Compensation AutoTuning feature which will custom dial in the wastegates response specific to your own car. Look in this thread for details: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=420832 Make sure you register on the Vishnutuning Forum site to have access to map downloads. |

BTW, I agree that 8/17 maps with firmware #25 are really nice and OP will be even more impressed.

I seriously think i could install a procede or jb3 on someones car in less than 10mins lol
I didn't run the serial cable through the firewall but i attached a thin plastic zip tie looking thing (zip ties that comes with some garbage bags to close them etc..) to the serial adapter on the procede and have it dangling out of the ECU cover. The zip tie is flat and thin enough that you can still close the ecu box but it allows me to easily pull out the serial cable in 30 seconds for when I want to log or update the maps/firmware. I didn't want to do the firewall method because i still plan on removing everything whenever i go in for service. Alan

Haha, once you do it a few times it becomes clockwork taking apart the ECU area.
