Well, with my cadillac I average about 220-240 depending on how hard I drive the car. I'll double check tomorrow. It seems normal, I could be wrong though.

Post 50 yay! :rocks:

Sounds perfectly fine and compares to what I've been seeing - although I haven't really romped on the car too much yet.

300F (150C) is the point at which the warning light comes on and the system starts reducing engine power.

When all warmed up, mine stays pegged at ~ 240 degrees F, even when driven hard now and then.

Sorry my mistake...We are using Celsius here ...I don't know the metrics you are using there. Is it Farenheit? F ?

Whatever it is ,120 Celsius is the absolute maximum. If it goes higher you should be careful.

If you're really talking about an ABSOLUTE maximum that would be 150C (300F). That's the point at which the warning light comes on and engine power is reduced.

Well the 120 degrees of Celsius is only half way in the Celsius-gauge, and not really any absolute maximum.

I only have about 2500 mi on my car. But, it has only been up to 250 one time (odd...it was a cool rainy night, not pushing the car). Usually 220-240.

mine averages 220-240 and has seen 250 once. It was right when I picked up the car and took it down the back roads for a "hard break in".
