Ambient lighting issue

Issue:

I looked on realoem.com and it looks like it's a single LED with a "Light guide" which is I assume is a piece of clear plastic with notches on it.

Ok if the setup is so simple why do I only have one bright spot? Did the LED became misaligned or something? How hard is it to take apart that panel?

If you're still under warranty just take it to the dealer. I'm sure they'll just replace that for you.

No warranty

I looked at a lot of DYI's and they all say how to remove front seat panels but not the rear ones.

Looked closer today. The light guide broke clean in half. No idea how that happened. Oh well at least it's just 5 bucks.
