Aftermarket Wheel Locks

What aftermarket wheel locks are you guys using for your wheels? No one wants thousands of dollars to go to waste.. so what are you spending to protect this from happening? Thanks in advance

Another vote for McGard. I've been using them for 35 yrs without a problem - didn't see any reason to stop now.

Cheapest price I found on them was here with FREE shipping:

http://www.amazon.com/McGard-27178-C...481494&sr=8-10

They have Black and Silver version. I liked the fact that the McGard were actually made Black - not a separate Black cover that you need to install/remove such as the Rad Locks use. I can attest that the Black color matches the Black lugs on my E982 perfectly, I would assume the silver do too.

I also sprung for the $5 Wheel Key Storage Pouch - nice to keep key in, and the factory lugs you remove for the locks fit in there also for good measure (so they don't get misplaced) in case you ever need them...

I've used most over the years. I don't like McGards because the machined edges on them round off after many uses. I always had visions of a wheel lock that I couldn't get off.

My favorites are Gorilla Locks. Not too expensive. Their key is like a socket. They also come in a few different lengths. If you use wheel spacers you might be able to get an extended lock bolt that'll work for you.

The McGard Keys ARE like sockets (have been for some time). The key pattern is recessed and the outer rim pilots on lock OD so key registers tightly...

I've used Gorilla Lugs in the past and they have held up well - never used their locks...

Guess that's not exactly the case where High Pressure Fuel Pumps are concerned

True, but those sqiggly cut ridges inside start rounding off after many uses and the key starts to slip off the matching groove in the lock bolt. I had them on my Honda for 14 years before I finally ditched them. Nothing wrong with 14 years of use but I like the design of the Gorilla locks better and basically the same price.
