Questions on Adding to Dinan Exhaust

Hey Guys,
I currently have the Dinan exhaust installed, as well as Dinan software. I'm thinking about upgrading the section between the OEM downpipe and the Dinan exhaust (which I believe is axle-back), as that should still leave the Dinan warranty intact. I had a few questions:

1. What's the internal diameter of the Dinan exhaust (tips are 3.5" but it looks smaller inside)?

2. What's the internal diameter of the OEM downpipes?

3. What specific parts would I need to complete the connection between the Dinan exhaust and the OEM downpipes? Any part by a single vendor that may fulfill this?

4. Would upgrading everything but the downpipe be good for anything other than sound, or would I be better of waiting until my warranty is gone (2 years) and going for a full turbo back setup?

I believe your refering to the Mid-Pipes..
The pipes between the DP and Muffler section?
I'm pretty sure a vendor here sells them but they may require cutting and welding.

You're looking at mid-pipes. Lots of different ones out there (catless, vs. catted). Most after market mid-pipes are 3 inch in diameter not sure about Dinan though.

what is your goal, more power or better/louder exhaust tone?.. if you want more power get a set of downpipes, that coupled with your dinan exhaust should be all you need, midpipes are great too but it will be even louder...

My goal is more power. I can't add downpipes right now as that will void the Dinan warranty. I'm wondering if just adding midpipes (if that's what I would need) would gain any noticeable power.

I'm also wondering if the Dinan exhaust is too restrictive as it is, and if I would be better off getting a downpipe back setup instead of adding onto the Dinan setup.

Thanks.

The most you can expect to get from any exhaust system from the catalysts on back is less than 10 hp. DPs are where you'll gain the most, but even there a 3" will give bigger gains over a 2.5", cats or no cats. All aftermarket systems are "less restrictive" than stock, but some are even less restrictive although they're correspondingly louder. What you don't want is the dreaded "cruise drone" from unbalanced harmonics. It's a tradeoff between small power gains and loudness/comfort.

you need dp's if you want noticeably more power.. midpipes aren't worth adding to your Dinan exhaust IMO..

Thanks.

Dinan claims 384fwhp for stage 2 tune and 392fwhp for stage 2 + exhaust + "race-only X pipe".
