Miles and Your Tune Game

We need 5 components:

1) Do you have a tune? -
2) What Kind? -
3) Miles when first tuned -
4) Current mileage -
5) Problems w/ tune (direct result). -

Notes:

I'm sure we've had one before, but let's have another! Let's see the responses maybe like this:

1) Do you have a tune? Yes
2) What Kind? Dinan S2
3) Miles when first tuned - 2,000
4) Current mileage - 5,000
5) Problems w/ tune (direct result). - None!

Notes: Seems very similar to stock in lower RPM bands and gives a pretty nice kick up top...not extremely dramatic, but I have been completely satisfied.

Very informative thread.

I'm picking up my cpo 335i on monday it has 48k miles not a single mod.

So from this thread I guess its safe to say that a tune such as jb3 or procede won't provide any problems at my milleage?

The cars had 4 services in its time so I guess its been maintained over and above bmw's schedule.

Only worry you might have is the car could have been tuned without you know.

But, yes. Our cars generally handle tunes pretty well. There are cases of failure, but the stock setup has failed plenty in the same areas (HPFP, wastegates, turbos, injectors, etc.)

I know for sure it wasn't tuned before, I'm in the UK, theres maybe like 5-10 people running these sorts of tunes here haha

Its great to know some of you have been tuned for over 50k miles and no probs other than tyres lol
