Do I have to refinance my home and do a cash-out to afford the upgrade?

Yea, atleast you dont have to worry about your warranty with dinan. That is defiantly a plus.

No, when dinan does turbo or supercharger upgrades, they are actually new superchargers or turbos.

They currently have a hand-built bored/stroked M3 V8 engine swap-out that I heard goes for $26K, but it's nearly 600HP and fully warranted. Haven't heard anything about an upcoming turbo upgrade. Yeah, it'll be expensive, but something's got to pay for the engineering work and the warranty. I don't think I'll be getting one, but it would be something to consider if purchased with a new car. I'm wondering if it'd be for the N55 or N54 or both. These guys have been building engines for professional racing (LeMans, Daytona, etc.) for nearly 30 years, so I suspect whatever they come up with will be thoroughly developed and tested.

Well, if dinan can break the ice with the turbo upgrade (dont forget, we have yet to see a WORKING single turbo N54) then i give it a year before some more reasonable companies reverse engineer it and sell it for 1/3 the price.

That's pretty much what you'd need to do to get the current twin upgrades (EPL, RB etc).

For this one you'd probably have to sell the house and start living in the car. This and this are the supporting mods Dinan recommends with their snail upgrade btw.

That is where abouts I think the single stage kits are going to be around so dinan will be at least double that. For that kind of cash I would rather buy a brand new car to beat on while babying my 1

My guess is it's vaporware, why would they invest so heavily into a platform that is on its way out?

HPF doesn't seem to have any issues with making money off the e46

Now that engine sounds just great. it's actually a 4.6L stroker producing 500hp and 400+lb-ft of torque. the 600 ho one is the V10 stroker they have and it's actually noticably higher than 600hp.
