Can foul plugs cause long cranks?
Been getting long cranks the past 2 weeks. Doesn't happen on every start up but most if I let the vehicle sit for a while. Could be HPFP but I want to be an optimist Anyhow, can foul spark plugs cause long cranks? I have 21K Kms on the car and have been running JB3 since new.

Plugs could cause long cranks but mostly they cause a rough idle. Any rough idle?

Mine is doing the same thing and only happens when it sits over night. Other than that it runs perfect. I guess i'll just expect a dealer visit in the future.

The ethanol myth is thrown out the window now. Filled up on nothing but Shell V-Power (with no ethanol) since day 1. I hope that BMW really feels the multitude of lawsuits that are emerging.
